Real Techniques flawless core collection and enhanced starter setbrushes

Hi guys!

So if you follow me on Instragram, Twitter, Facebook (links can be found at the bottom of the post!), you will know that I bought some new brushes not long ago. Here's the picture I posted:

They are, of course, the real techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo. I was so tempted to post about them straight away but I thought I should at least use them for a while to give you all a decent and honest review.

Instead of splitting this post into each individual brush, I'm just going to talk about them altogether as otherwise, it would be a very long and boring post! Also, another reason for doing this is despite what the brush label says, they can be used for many more things, which is brilliant.

So I will start by saying that these brushes are of amazing quality for the price. If you are looking for a great value set of brushes, go for these as, value wise, I do believe they are the best on the market. They are incredibly soft but firm enough to do the job too.

I use the buffing brush for my foundation & the deluxe crease brush for concealer and I get the most beautiful finish. The other brushes I use for a multitude of things, not limited to what they're labeled as.

There is only one problem I have. At the moment, I have only noticed this with the deluxe crease brush, so it may just be a dodgy one. This brush is nowhere near as soft as the others. Now normally. I wouldn't say this was a bad thing as if brushes are too soft, they can fail at their purpose for obvious reasons. Specifically, this brush is quite prickly and often hurts as I use it to blend my concealer around the delicate eye area. It has a few hairs that just stick out the wrong way and I may have to stop using it soon due to this :( it's unfortunate as it really does do a good job!

I don't want one bad thing to cloud what really are a good set of brushes though and it genuinely is possible that it is just that one brush that I have as none of the others are the same.

I am thinking of doing a few tutorials soon as I haven't really done any! You can follow this blog by entering your email and getting updates whenever I post so you don't miss out on anything!

Thank you for reading!

Urban Decay Naked Palette and Primer Potion review

I know there's a lot of reviews on the Naked palette all over the blogosphere, however, I thought I may as well have my input too!

It was so hyped that I gave in to buying it just the other week - and I'm actually really glad I did, if I'm honest. I chose the original over the Naked palette 2 as I preferred the colour selection. I also got a full size shadow brush and a cute small size primer potion, which allows me to test that, something I have wanted to do for a long time!

Here a few pictures of the palette and the colours:

Ramadan - why Muslims fast.

All around the world, millions of people are abstaining from eating and drinking from dusk to dawn. Men and women, of all ages and races, are celebrating the month of Ramadan - starving their bodies to feed their souls.

This year, Ramadan in the UK has fallen amidst a heatwave. Some of the hottest continuous weather I have ever seen here. Muslims are prohibited from consuming the most basic of nutrients, such as water, over the 18 hour period. Many non-Muslims may be wondering why we are doing this. I will attempt to explain a little more about this.
